The Austin Toros made a valiant last-ditch comeback effort Wednesday night against Sioux Falls, but the red-hot Josh Howard wasn’t there to help fuel the fire.

The Show tallied nine points, four rebounds and two assists, but they all came in 23 minutes through the first two quarters and change.

No. 15 checked out at the 7:30 mark of the third and didn’t return due to an injury. In the meantime, his teammates put together a fervent rally.

But without Josh, who was coming off consecutive double-doubles in back-to-back victories, the Toros ultimately couldn’t overcome a 30-point halftime deficit and fell 116-104.
