When Ronald Murray’s game-winning shot went down, Josh Howard was the first to leap onto his back, and the two stars of the night celebrated their close-call victory, as the crowd in Frisco fell silent.
Thanks to a scorching start from Howard, and a little late-game magic from Murray, the Austin Toros are now winners of two straight.
After notching a 19-point 11-rebound double-double 24 hours earlier, The Show brought his A-game once again Wednesday night, tallying 23 points, 11 boards and three assists, as Austin clipped Texas 114-111.
Josh started the scoring with a trifecta off a feed from Murray, and the Toros never trailed after building that 3-0 advantage. No. 15 tallied a game-high 10 points in that first frame, and Austin was plus-8 with him on the floor for the night.
The Toros held the lead from that first bucket on and led by as many as 14, but the Legends managed to tie the the contest with just 8.8 seconds left. But Murray, who had a double-double of his own, canned a long three at the buzzer to give Austin the victory.
